An Academic Conference: ‘Buddhist Meditation across Boundaries’.

An Academic Conference on ‘Buddhist Meditation across Boundaries’ organized by Seoul University of Buddhism, Korea and the Faculty of Graduate Studies of Nāgānanda International Institute for Buddhist Studies was held at the premises of NIIBS on 13th January 2026. Among the participants were academics and graduate studies of NIIBS, and scholars from other universities.

The keynote address was delivered by Emeritus Professor Asanga Tilakaratne on ‘Meditation Across Boundaries: Theravada, Mahayana and Vajrayana’. Two scholars from Korea and two scholars from Sri Lanka were presented conference research papers:

    Dr. Hasantha Samarasinghe (BA Special, MA, PhD), Senior Lecturer, Buddhist and Pali.
