MPhil and Ph.D. Research Presentations in Buddhist Studies

The MPhil and Ph.D. research presentations in the Buddhist Studies Research Programmes were held on 08th July 2026, from 10.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m., at the VIP Boardroom, Nagananda International Institute for Buddhist Studies.

The panel was chaired by Emeritus Prof. Asanga Tilakaratne; Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies. The panel comprised Ven. Dr. Dampe Vijitharathana Thera; Deputy Vice Chancellor and Dean of the Faculty of Buddhist Studies, Ven. Prof. Induragare Dhammarathana Thera (External Member), Dr. D.D. Senadheera ; Scientific Assistant, Faculty of Graduate Studies, Dr. Kumari Madanayake; Head, Department of Practical Buddhism, and Mr. Suneth Bandara; Head, Department of Pali and Buddhist Studies.

The event was attended by members of the Venerable Maha Sangha, academics, and local and international postgraduate students.

The presentations provided a valuable platform for scholarly discussion, constructive academic feedback, and the exchange of research ideas, thereby contributing to the advancement of Buddhist Studies research.
